Tournament rules (translation)

Finnish Ice Hockey Association existing competition and game rules for juniors applies in addition with Southern Finland local rules and following tournament rules.

Game system

There are six teams and one division in the tournament.

One simple series with six teams. Games 2x15 min. max 50min of total time. Teams will have short 2 min break between periods. Teams do not change sides between periods. Time out is allowed.

2 points for winning, 1 point for draw, 0 points for loss. If two or several teams have equal number of points standings will be defined by:

1. Result of the mutual games

2. Goal difference

3. Goals made

4. Penalty minutes

5. Lottery

Start and end times of the games

Games will start according to the schedule and end latest at the time in the schedule. Tournament organizer can make changes to the schedule if needed. Possible changes will be informed to the teams early enough before the game (about 1 hour). If a team is not ready when a game should start it will be judged to lose the game 5-0.

Amount of players

The maximum amount of players in the team is not limited.

Referees

Referees will be nominated by Helsinki Ice Hockey Referees Association.

Penalties

A match penalty causes suspension to the offending player or team staff.

Responsibilities

Tournament organizer is not responsible of possible injuries or other harm to participating players, team staff or participating parents. Participating teams have responsibility that every player, team staff and participating parents will have sufficient license and insurance. Furthermore, teams will be responsible that their players, team staff and parents will follow these tournament rules as well as the rules of the hockey rink.

First Aid

In a tournament will be available a person with competence of first aid.
