U15 Czech Spring Hockey Cup, Mělník 17 – 19 April 2015

GENERAL INFORMATION & TECHNICAL REGULATONS

A.    General regulations

B.      Technical regulations

1.    Tournament Rules
a)    The tournament is played according to the ice hockey regulations, racing and disciplinary CIHA (Czech Ice Hockey Association) rules and according to regulations of these propositions. Final decisions in all disputable situations belong to the organizing committee of the tournament.
b)    The teams of players born in 2000 or later participate at the tournament. The team managers will submit the list of players (including date of birth and jersey number) to the organizers prior to the tournament. Team managers are responsible for medical insurance of participating players.
c)    In case of a game misconduct penalty for any player, the Technical Committee will decide of the player’s participation in the next game.

2.    System of Tournament
    There are 8 teams participating at the tournament. Teams are devided into 2 pools (“A” and “B”), 4 teams per pool. Games in each pool are played in the round-robin system.
    GAME POINTS: 3 points for a win in normal game time. If the game will finish in tie, penalty shots will follow directly by system "SUDDEN DEATH". If player of one team scores goal and the player of opposite team not, the game is over. The winner after penalties takes 2 points, loser takes 1 point.
    Notice: Penalty shots must be done always with "a new player" of team. It is not allowed to use the same player, if more penalty shots will occur during the game!
    The winning team gets 2 points to the table. In case of draw, both teams get 1 point. The losing team gets no points.  
    According to the standings after round-robin games in each pool the final games are played as followed:
    Final game for the 7th place at the tournament:    A4 – B4
    Final game for the 5th place at the tournament:    A3 – B3
    1st semifinal game:                                              A2 – B1
    2nd semifinal game:                                             A1 – B2
    Final game for the 3rd place at the tournament:    Losers of semifinal games
    Final game for the 1st place at the tournament:    Winners of semifinal games
 
    All tournament games are played according to the rules of the Czech Ice Hockey Association and according to the tournament schedule.

3.    Standing after round-robin games in the pool
       The standing after round-robin games played in each pool is based on:
a)    Higher number of points;
b)    In case 2 or more teams have equal points, their standing will be determined according to the results of the mutual matches among those teams.
c)    In case the results are equal, the goal difference from mutual matches is decisive. In case the goal difference is equal, better standing takes the team with higher number of scored goals.
d)   In case of equality the total goal difference (total score) from all round-robin games is decisive.
e)   In case of equality of the total score the higher number of scored goals in all matches is decisive.
f)    Draw

4.    Playing Time
a)    All round-robin games are played for 3 × 15 minutes of stop time.
b)    The final game for the 7th place, the final game for the 5th place and the final game for the 3rd place at the tournament are played for 3 x 15 minutes of stop time.
c)    The cleaning of the ice is done always after two played periods, which means only once in a game – after the first or second period.
d)    In case of tied result the penalty shoot-out will be held right after the regular time runs out (without over time). 3 separate penalty shots will be decisive (3 players of each team – alternately, the first team shooting is the home team - according to the game schedule).  In case of equality the tie-break is played, 1 player from each team alternately until the decision.
e)    The final game for the 1st place at the tournament is played for 3 x 15 minutes of stop time, cleaning of the ice is done after every period. In case of  tied result the over time (sudden death) will be played for 5 minutes of stop time. In case of no scoring in the over time the penalty shoot out will be held. 3 separate penalty shots will be decisive (3 players of each team – alternately, the first team shooting is the home team - according to the game schedule).  In case of equality the tie-break is played, 1 player from each team alternately until the decision.
f)    Teams will have 5 minutes before each game for warm up; the game starts immediately after the warm up, without ice cleaning. Pucks for warm up to be supplied by the organizer.

5.    Game Officials
    All games are controlled by 1 main referee and 2 linesmen according to the Ice hockey rules of CIHA. Referees and linesmen are delegated by the organizer.

6.    Game Protocol
    The game protocol will be supplied by the organizer. Team managers will fill in names and jersey numbers of the players. The protocol will be filled in before each game and no later than 15 minutes before its start given to the game’s referees.

8.    Protests
    Every team can suggest protest about a progress and about result of game. The protest must be done no later than 10 minutes after the end of the game, in written form, to the Technical Committee with deposit 500 CZK,-. In case of refusal the deposit is given to the organizers of the tournament, in opposite case the deposit will be returned.  

C.       Financial conditions

a)    Organizer shall receive the fee of  650,- EUR from each participating team before the tournament start.
b)    Other costs (transportation, food, accommodation etc.) will be covered by the teams.
c)    Every team is obliged to have two sets of jerseys of different colors (light and dark). The choice of color is up to the home team (written on first position in the tournament schedule).
      
D.      Concluding regulations

a)    Teams are obliged to follow these regulations and directions during the whole time of the tournament.
b)    The organizer has right to change and correct these regulations if it is needed for the quality of the tournament.
