18th year of the tournament ICE HOCKEY MUSKOX CUP for non registered players
on 6:th and 7th April 2018 in Liberec, Svijanská Arena, CZECH REPUBLIC
Basic Information about the Tournament
Dates: 6:th - 7th April 2018

Venue: Svijanská Arena Liberec – ice rink I, ice rink II
Number of Teams: 8 teams
Format:
8 teams will be split into two groups of four teams. In the group, a round-robin will be played. The teams placed on the fourth places will advance to the 7th place game and the teams on the third places will play the 5th place game. The first two teams in each group will play a crosswise semifinals (1A–2B, 2A–1B). Defeated semi-finalists will advance to the bronze medal game and the semifinal winners will advance to the final.
The Game Clock:
The game is played in two 20-minute periods without stopping the clock and with a 3-minute break between the periods. The clock is stopped during all stoppages only in the last three minutes of the second period. In case of a draw, the penalty shootout follows. (series of 3 penalty shots, continue playing sudden death).
Point System in the Group:
For a regulation win – 3 points
For an OT (shootout) win – 2 points
For an OT (shootout) loss – 1 point

Age Limit of Players:
All players must be born on the 7th April 1987 and earlier. An exception will be made to three players who were born on the 7th April 1997 and earlier. Younger players will not be allowed to take part. Within the attendance of the teams, an identity card check will be carried out.
Players Registered at ČSLH (Czech Ice Hockey Association) and other foreign Ice Hockey Association are not allowed to participate in this Hobby tournament!
None of the players can be registered at ČSLH and other foreign Ice Hockey Associations !!!
After receiving a roster, a control will be carried out. The rosters, including players´ name, surname and a date of birth, are necessary to be sent to scanact@volny.cz till the 20th January 2018. After a team roster control, the confirmation of the rosters will be send till the 10th March 2018. The roster is binding for the whole tournament.
Providing Exceptions:
It is possible to apply for an exception regarding a particular player (an inactive registered player, minimum last 20 years, a younger player above a quota, etc.) who wants to take part in the tournament. It is necessary to ask in written form (e-mail) the main muskox (the tournament director Pavel Jakubec) for providing an exception.
Special Limits: Considering the idea of the tournament – HOBBY TOURNAMENT – a body check game is limited!
Referees: Qualified ČSLH referees will be called to the whole tournament.
Prizes:
A diploma for every team. Cups and medals for the first three teams.
Individual prizes – top scorer, best goaltender, most penalized player
Medical Supervision: Supervised by ZZS (First Aid Service) of Liberec Region.
Tournament All-Stars:
The tournament All-Stars will be announced within the ceremonial announcement.
Penalties:
Minor fouls (hooking, slashing, etc.) - sending off the ice for two minutes.
Major fouls (cross check, roughing, etc.) - ejecting from the game.
Deliberate fouls (shoving into the boards, wrestling, etc.) - ejecting from the tournament.
Technical Background:
Music during the breaks and a pre-game skating will be ensured on the main rink (ice rink I).
After the end of each match, both rinks will always be treated.
Timekeeping will be ensured.
An official photographer (marked with a vest) will be ensured for the whole day. The photos and a video record will be burned and a DVD will be handed to the representatives of individual teams.
