Team Meeting (7 October, Taarnby Curling Club, 11:30 - 11:50).
2. The Women (4 teams) are placed in one group and play a double round robin series. At the end of the
round robins there will be a ranking established for places 1 to 3 using the June 2011 WCF Rules of
Competition (C9) - Team Ranking Procedure. The team ranked 1st will play against the team ranked 2nd, the
winner qualifies their Association for the 2013 European Curling Championship "B" Group, and wins the
Gold medal. The loser of the 1 v 2 game plays the team ranked 3rd, the winner also qualifies their
Association for the 2013 European Curling Championship "B" Group and wins the Silver medal; the loser
receives the Bronze medal.
3. The Men (8 teams) are placed in one group and play a single round robin series. At the end of the round
robin there will be a ranking established for places 1 to 4 using the June 2011 WCF Rules of Competition
(C9) - Team Ranking Procedure. The team ranked 1st will play against the team ranked 2nd, the winner
qualifies their Association for the 2013 European Curling Championship "B" Group, and wins the Gold
medal. Also, the team ranked 3rd will play against the team ranked 4th. The loser of the 1 v 2 game will then
play the winner of the 3 v 4 game, the winner also qualifies their Association for the 2013 European Curling
Championship "B" Group, and wins the Silver medal; the loser receives the Bronze medal.
4. All games will be ten (10) ends, with extra end(s) to break tied games.
5. There will be a nine (9) minute practice for each team before each round robin game. The practice
starts 30 minutes before the scheduled game time. The team with the first practice during the round robin
will be the team with dark stones for all the games, except the three (3) women's games marked with a "*"
where the second named team will practice first, and the men's first game where a coin toss will be required
to determine which team practices first.
6. At the conclusion of the team’s pre-game practice, one player delivers one stone to the tee at the home
end. The team with the lesser Last Stone Draw (LSD) distance has the choice of delivering first or second
stone in the first end. If the LSDs are equal, a toss of the coin will determine which team has the choice.
7. First named team in each draw plays stones with dark coloured handles, and should wear dark coloured
upper playing garments. Note: red is considered a dark colour.
8. The Chief Umpire will determine the schedule and ice for all post round robin games as soon as the
number of games required and the opponents have been determined.
