WHO MAY PARTICIPATE


To Unihoc Riga Cup all teams are welcome. The only condition is that the club is registered with its country’s Floorball federation.
The competition starts with the group play. The teams are divided into groups of four or five where all teams will meet in a round robin series. The first and second team in the group qualifies for ”Play-Off.”  .

MATCH TIME


Group match for all groups is 2 x 20 minutes (non-effective time with net time in last minute) 

FINAL match for all age groups is 2 x 20 minutes (non-effective time with net time in last 3 minutes) 

AGE CATEGORIES:


    •    Elite Men
    •    Men
    •    Female
    •    B16 (born 1998)
    •    B14 (born 2000)

DISPENSATION


The exception applies to a player who is a year older than it is stated by the age group. This exemption may also apply to a number of team players, but within one match there can be only one player to whom that exception applies. For group B-16 the exception applies to two players. Before the beginning of the tournament, each team has to stat very accurately the players who do not correspond to the category of the participants group. During the Floorball tournament, no other exemptions are assigned

TEAMS IN THE TOURNAMENT


It is our aim that all teams wishing to take part in the Unihoc Riga Cup are able to do so. The teams paying their team fees first will be given priority. There is no limit to the number of players in each team. However you can only use a maximum of 20 players for each match.

PARTICIPANT’S BRACELET


In addition to the Participation Fee (EUR 100.-) each team pays EUR 10.- for each participant’s (player’s, coach’s, official’s) individual bracelet, providing for:
* free entrance to the central sports Arena of the tournament on the day of the final events;
* complimentary usage of the municipal public transport during the tournament period (14.-16.08.2014.)
* free entrance to the Big Get-Together Party (night of August 15./16.);
* free entrance to several most popular museums of the city of Riga (in co-operation with the Riga City Council);
* other eventual activities (will be specified later).

HOTEL BOOKINGS FOR TEAMS, PARENTS AND SUPPORTERS

For teams, relatives and friends, hotel accommodation can be arranged at reasonable prices. For bookings and further information please contact the Unihoc Riga Cup for more info.

TRANSFER


We can help teams with accommodation through Unihoc Riga Cup to arrange their transfer to and from the airport, ferry or train station at self cost price. Please contact Unihoc Riga Cup for more information.

PRIZES


For all groups first three teams each player will receive a medal and the teams receive a cup. The top scorers the best players of the tournament will be awarded with commemorative souvenirs.

INSURANCE


Each team leader must make sure that all participants carry their own insurance, both on and off the field. Unihoc Riga Cup does not carry any group insurance, and is not responsible for, protecting participants in case of injury, illness, theft or damage to property.
WE ASK ALL PARTICIPANTS AND LEADERS NEVER TO LEAVE VALUABLE ITEMS OR MONEY AT THE DRESSING ROOM!  
Neither the Unihoc Riga Cup can be held liable by delegates for any damages, costs or losses incurred from war, warlike events, civil war, revolution, insurrection or cause of government action, strike, lockout, blockade (force majeure) or similar events. 
Under these conditions, the tournament organizers reserve the right to either retain the entire registration/accommodation fee and to use it for a future tournament, or to reimburse the delegate after deducting costs already incurred for the organization of the tournament and which could not be recovered from third parties.
